We are a specialty cold brew coffee producer brewing in Singapore and in Bali. Using 100% Arabica coffee sourced from family run farms in the region, we work closely with our farmers to ensure that only the very best is used in our brews. Committed to sustainable and socially responsible practices, we work closely to better the lives of the communities we are part of. OUR STORY

Originating on the tropical island of Bali, Bootstrap Beverages was started by a group of coffee fanatics in early 2015.  Working closely with family-run coffee growers, Bootstrap has rapidly grown to be largest producer of cold brew coffee in Bali, extending its presence into Jakarta and now Singapore. In Bali, Bootstrap can be found in a diverse outlet network from 5-star hotels to restaurants and beach clubs and supermarkets. The product has developed a loyal following both amongst locals and expats and is popular with the tourist markets that prefer a refreshing and healthy high-quality chilled coffee beverage over traditional hot brews. Expanding into Singapore, Bootstrap is looking to be the preferred beverage amongst the growing professional and startup communities as well as the wellness and fitness markets. Bootstrap is looking to expand near-term to Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong.​​

WHY COLD BREW

Taste is in the chemistry - exposing coffee grounds to hot water releases oils that won’t dissolve at lower temperatures. These oils are full of acidic compounds that give coffee its famous bitter bite. But along with that bite comes acid-shock, which anesthetizes the tongue and prevents the taster from perceiving the subtle nuances in coffee’s flavor, undertones of chocolate, fruit, and nuts jump to the forefront.

Cold-brewed coffee is 67 percent less acidic than hot-brewed. Without all that acid, the burnt flavor that plagues hot-brewed coffee is eliminated. Plus, the reduced acid makes it healthier for your stomach and your teeth.

Additionally, the flavor of cold-brewed coffee won’t change over time. Cold-brewed coffee has never been hot, so its chemistry doesn’t change as it cools, flavor is locked in.
